Documentation release timeline

How Silestone refreshes technical packs when collections, finishes, or compliance pathways change.

  1. Q1

    Collection data refresh

New color SKUs receive Mohs hardness, water absorption, and finish matrices before dealer launch kits ship.

  2. Q2

    CAD & install updates

Edge libraries and installation guides incorporate fabricator feedback on cutout density and thick-edge builds.

  3. Q3

    Compliance packet review

NSF, GREENGUARD Gold, and ISO documentation pathways are re-verified for active commercial collections.

  4. Q4

    Annual engineering digest

Thermal, UV stability, and jumbo handling notes consolidate into a year-end digest for specification libraries.

Technical limits to read before you specify

  • Heat & thermal shock: Hot pots can leave thermal marks; use trivets. Published guidance covers typical kitchen exposure, not open-flame contact.
  • Outdoor UV stability: Only collections labeled for exterior use should face prolonged UV; standard indoor quartz may fade or chalk outdoors.
  • Overhang support: Flexural strength class does not remove the need for brackets or substrate support beyond published overhang tables.
  • Metal marking: Soft metals can leave grey marks on polished finishes; these are usually removable and are not structural defects.
